Biocept

A new option to understand your cancer and create an appropriate treatment plan.

FIND NOW THE Biocept TEST

IF YOU CAN TO HIRE THIS TEST

You know you’re seeing what’s happening with your cancer NOW.

Biocept

Has developed the most advanced methods for finding cancer cells and DNA fragments in the blood.

Today’s personalized cancer treatment relies on information about the specific abnormalities in your DNA (called biomarkers) that make each person’s cancer different.

For years, doctors have been using tissue biopsies—samples taken directly from tumors—to find out what abnormalities are driving each person’s cancer, so they can design a treatment plan with the best chances of success.

But, there are times when a tissue biopsy is difficult—or even impossible.
A liquid biopsy gives you and your doctor a new option for understanding your cancer and creating an appropriate treatment plan— all from a simple blood test.

Cancer at any stage can shed tumor cells as well as fragments of DNA into the blood system. The more advanced the cancer, the more likely tumor cells and DNA can be found in the blood.

Biocept technology is uniquely designed to allow us to use analytically and clinically validated reagents, when available. All tests performed in our CLIA-certified, CAP-accredited laboratory have undergone appropriate validation.

Biocept has developed the most advanced methods for finding cancer cells and DNA fragments in the blood.
You and your doctor get the same information you would get from an invasive tissue biopsy—all from a simple blood test.

And because Biocept uses blood, you know you’re seeing what’s happening with your cancer NOW—not weeks, months, or years ago.

You may be a good candidate for a liquid biopsy if:

  •  Your doctor didn’t get enough tissue from a traditional biopsy. A liquid biopsy could allow you to avoid repeat surgical biopsies.
  • The location of your tumor is in a place that’s difficult to access through a traditional surgical biopsy. If your doctor has told yo that biopsy is unfeasible or risky for you, a liquid biopsy gives you and your doctor needed information with a simple, less invasive test.
  • Cancer comes back after surgery to remove the original tumor. When cancer comes back after surgery, your doctor can’t go back to the original tumor for tissue biopsy. A liquid biopsy helps your doctor recommend appropriate treatment for recurrent cancer.
  • Your cancer isn’t responding to treatment the way your doctor expects. Sometimes, tumors contains more than one type of genetic or molecular abnormality-and a tissue biopsy may not find them all. When this happens, treatment may not be as effective as your doctor expects. A liquid biopsy can help you and your doctor figure out what’s going on with the entire tumor for more appropriate treatment.
